Most of the power of wireless connectivity is spent on the radio transmitters and often the major computational complexity is used in the receiver. Therefore, the design of the radio transceivers is crucial for the commercial success of the future radio systems and applications. The system optimization and access design need realistic transceiver models, and transceiver development to enable early on market can benefit from the system level research. Baseband algorithms and architectures are designed to enable the wireless system performance on the targeted level.
